MEXICAN MASK C1950+.
Vintage Terra-Cotta, Red clay. Aztec/Mayan example. Painted With old green red and blue.
It has aged very well, the patina of the paint very nice. There is general overall fading, The paint has adhered and is beautiful.
This mask is in very good condition.
There are no hairline fractures, repairs or cracks. Older terra-cotta , will show flaws. It’s just inherent in how it’s made.
***This mask has a chip on the nose of the lion type figure . It’s an old, smooth chip, but does not have the old patinaed color.
And this is a vintage item and will indeed show wear because it is old.
On the backside, is original price tag of {{detail_product_description}}.25.
I have not cleaned this at all. I leave that for the new owner.
Because the nose on the animal is chipped, this item is sold “As Is”. Returns are not accepted.

It has been explained that there are flaws inherent in the peace as well as a chip on the nose of the animal at center. Other scratches may be a parent but they are part of the artwork.
