    Description

    Vintage Taxco Mexican metal folk art wall hanging tribal mask. 9.75" wide x 13.25" tall x 5.25" deep. This large, lightweight mask is likely made of tin. The design features characteristic curled eyelashes, protruding nose and lips, and large ears with holes for earrings (which are missing.) There are hammered geometric designs all around, particularly the crown, around the eyes, and on the chin. The back has a flap of metal attached for hanging, and it is imprinted with "Mexico" and the initials "L O". Condition is good, with some signs of age, a bit of rusting and scratching/dents.
