Vintage Mexico/Mexican Hand Carved Wood Happy Folk Art Mask 50+ Years Old

Description

This mask hung in my childhood home for my entire life. I do not know where my parents got it; my mother does not recall, though it must have been a gift. It has “Mexico” stamped on the back. The mask is hand carved and appears to be stained with a medium brown stain. It was hung with a thin wire between the eyes, which I have removed as the wire had broken. There are no hanging holes.
I have fond memories and it is time to pass the mask along!
It comes from a nonsmoking home.
