Vintage Mexico Repro Aut INAH Pottery Three Generation Clay Mask Stamped
Great estate find and a beautiful piece of clay pottery representing
3 stages ~ boy, man and death.
There is a chip like missing piece on back - close up photo provided. (Does not impact the mask from being hung or displayed)  No breaks or cracks.  Coloring appears faded or purposely crafted that way?
Either way it is a very nice vintage beautifully crafted pottery.
There may be normal wear/scuffs due to being displayed, age and storage.
Does have the stamped marking of Reprod Aut INAH Mex.  Not an expert collector and certainly review all photos/details for authenticity.
Items like this were hand crafted reproduction from National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH)  This was hand crafted to replica using authentic ancestral techniques.  They are reproduction contemporary pieces that resemble the ancient primitive ones.   Due to their handcrafted design, there may be some imperfections on pottery and paint which are a result as well as possible intentions by artist.   Beautiful collectible replica of Mexican Heritage History and ready to be hung.
FYI - The INAH is located in Mexico City.  It is a Mexican federal government bureau established in 1939 to guarantee the research, preservation, protection, and promotion of the prehistoric, archaeological, anthropological, historical, and paleontological heritage of Mexico.  It's creation has played a key role in preserving the Mexican cultural heritage.   It is the largest visited museum in all of Mexico.  (I have personally visited a while ago and absolutely beautiful offering such incredible history on the culture)
