    STYLE NOTE:  This rustic vintage hand carved and hand painted 'Fish Man' mask was made by wood mask makers from Guerrero, Mexico.
    This style of decorative (tourist) mask gained popularity in the '70. Many professional carvers who had previously sold only to local dancers, began putting their creative energy into decorative (tourist) masks - not the authentic pieces - producing beautiful carvings that are creative, well-made, and a joy to collect.
    CONDITION: Excellent condition with a touch of dust.
