Vintage Mexican or Guatemalan Devil Mask.
This wonderful mask was acquired at an estate sale of a very eclectic collector. I do not know the age of this mask but believe it was most likely made in the 1970’s.
As a piece of folk art, this piece is very cool. The most clever part is the tiny devil on the tongue!
This mask shows wear and aging. The horns were at some time separated from the mask and reattached with iron nails. The mask has bushy straw eyebrows and mustache.
Measures: 15.5” from tip of horn to chin.
13”W from horn to horn.
