This is a wonderfully done Mayan Mask Hand-Carved; It is 11.75" x 8.5" x 5".  We do not know the source of this mask as it is not signed by the artist, and we acquired it via a larger lot of art, some of which had been in various galleries or museums - in our opinion, the craftsmanship is of that level, but we are not experts in this field; This piece is very detailed, though what strikes us when looking closely is how well those details are carved and created, and pieced together; While the mask is nearly perfectly symmetrical, and in excellent condition, it is clearly hand-carved given the small imperfections that can be observed. There are 2 holes on each side used to mount the masks.
