    Description

    Tascam 38 8- tack open reel deck
    2 metal 10.5” reels included. 1 has some ampex 406 tape included.
    Back plastic panel was cracked and has been glued (photo 11)
    Unit has been tested to the best of my ability and appears to works with the following issues: Channels 1 and 4 do not record, and channel 6 recording sounded weak.
    VU meters 3 and 8 do not respond on power up/down or with input/repro.
    Will need to be cleaned and calibrated and possibly other work.
