    Small Family Bible - American Bible Society - 1857
    Published by the American Bible of New York, 1847.  A hardcover small leatherbound book measuring 4 x 5 7/8 inches comprised of 1278 pages weighing 1 pound 3.5 ounces.  In publisher's green leather with a gilt and embossed design of front and back covers with gilt lettering and decoration on spine.  Covers show wear with markings as shown in picture one.  Gilt also on page edges.  No page tears with bleeding caused by the gluing of newspaper articles related to family deaths, marriages and births; originally owned by Philip L. Barrette of Sacramento, California.
