Roberts 770 Tape Recorder with Box and Papers
This is an extremely clean Roberts 770 tape recorder, complete with its original box (a double box with original packing materials and matching serial number on the box), plus an original owners manual and related advertising material
The Roberts 770 was the first Roberts recorder, I believe, with a Crossfield head configuration which greatly improved recording frequency response at lower speeds.
This 770 has been a much-prized possession of mine for many many years, but, unfortunately due to downsizing it must now depart.
It has had little use through the years, and at the time of this writing it is still functioning well and sounds great through its internal large oval speakers.  However, as it is well over 50 years old, it is being sold without any warranty.  If you wish to pick it up here, I can demonstrate it for you.
I doubt you would ever be able to find a nicer example of this model.  It is exactly as you see it pictured: beautiful!
As it is already double-boxed in the factory packaging, I was planning on having it shipped as it is.  However, if you wish to have an outer box put over the Roberts box (presumably to avoid the markings and abrasions that will surely occur during the shipping process) please let me know and then I will separately find out what the cost of these material(s) would be and will adjust the ship charge accordingly if needed.  Flat-rate shipping within the Continental U.S. only.
This is an ideal machine for the serious Roberts collector.  You will not be disappointed in its terrific appearance and with the inclusion of so many related materials extremely rare to find these days!
