I just received a shipment from Guerrero with lots of these
Decorative Coconut masks.... These 2 masks are of
Vegetables, an Onion and a Carrot with faces painted on them...
Each mask begins with
1/2 a dried coconut shell and a gesso like coating is applied to the surface,
then t
he colored enamel pigments are hand painted giving each mask a high gloss finish...
There is a
hole at the top of each
so you can string some twine and hang it on the wall.  They are lots of fun and quite whimsical.  What a
Perfect addition to your kitchen decor or for your Mexican Folk Art Collection....
Onion measures;  7 1/2 inches tall (not including the greens at the top or the roots at the bottom) by 4 1/2 inches wide and 2 1/2 deep.
Carrot measures;  7 1/2 inches tall by 4 3/4 inches wide and 2 1/2 deep.
