NAGRA SN REWIND UNIT NAGRA SN-SNN-SNST TAPES WITH AUDIO PLAYBACK AT FAST SPEED

I have been a collector of the Nagra SN, SNN and SNST for years and a couple of times while gently rewinding a tape the mechanical mechanism jammed and would then prevent it from playing tapes and required costly repairs.
I have seen the Nagra rewind unit which operates on A.C. only selling on ebay and although I wanted it I refused to pay the ,000.00+ price tag.
So, I decided to make my own way to rewind Nagra SN tapes at a fraction of the price.
The result is my modification of a portable Reel to Reel tape recorder.
This is a new tape recorder that not only rewinds tapes it also plays audio but does not have a capstan drive so the speed varies and is best for voice only not music when playing tapes recorded on the Nagra SNN fast speed.
It rewinds the Nagra SN tapes flawlessly and does it conveniently while you wait and best of all there’s no wear on the tape heads.
Their Nagra rewind unit requires 110 volts or 220 volts but mine uses 2 “C” size batteries for convenience wherever you go without the need of an A.C. outlet.
Included are custom made patented adapters to hold the Nagra SN reels securely while rewinding your Nagra SN,
SNN & SNST tapes.
You can also forward wind tapes slowly in play mode but it’s primarily designed to rewind tapes.
The ,000.00+ rewind unit uses belts that eventually will need to be replaced but mine uses no belts because the motor is direct drive.
Since your tapes can be covered with the lid closed when you rewind tapes this also gives you the benefit of a dust free environment and it’s the perfect companion to your Nagra SN because you can take it with you when you’re on the go with a convenient handle.

The Nagra SN tape recorder and tape with empty reel are not included and is shown only for display since you will be using your own tapes and empty reel.
Please note: The amplifier works and plays tapes but at various speeds close to tapes recorded on the Nagra SNN fast speed but not accurate because it does not have a capstan drive.
