Mexican Handmade Mayan Aztec Mexican Stone Warrior Burial Mask Abalone

Description

First of all I really do not know much about this piece.  I have had it several years looking just as you see it.  Before I received it, it had already had the base  removed.  It does sit on it's own without the base. It is made up of abalone, quartz(I think) and what looks like petrified wood and some type of turquoise.  The back side is coated with a green coating.  The outer mask has an epoxy type coating--I think. As I said I am not familiar with these types of items, so please look at the photos as they are part of the description.  There are no makers marks.  What looks like cracks is lines in the stones. Please, know what this is better than me.
