The Gemstone Mask is handcrafted with imagination by artisans from the south of Brazil Each is a one of a kind artifact. Made from the native Porongo Gourd. Natural clay is used to create the facial features. Semi precious stones are used to create the head dress features. The earrings are made of bamboo.
It is believed that where ever the owner hung the mask it would ward off evil spirits and bring happiness. Each mask has a crystal point, known as the third eye. The other stomes are believe to have metaphysical powers.
This is a One Of A Kind mask. And so so very interesting.
Pre-owned. No missing stones on the face. Seems to be a bit of repair on the end of one of the hanging bamboo earring. I think missing something on the bamboo not sure. Please look at the pictures as they are part of the description.
