I was told this was handmade in Mexico and it represents an Aztec warrior burial mask. It is absolutely exquisite and in mint condition. The person whom i purchased it from had it on display in their gallery, it is truly an impressive statement piece. I believe it is made of abilone and other slabs of gems. It is said to be pre 1970.
