Description
This antique, vintage food chopper/meat grinder was patented in 1904 by Hibbard Spencer Bartlett & Co. of Chicago. (The Made in Chicago Museum has very interesting write-ups onthe company's history
[madeinchicagomuseum.com/single-post/hibbard-spencer-bartlett] and
its staple food choppers
[madeinchicagomuseum.com/single-post/ovb-food-chopper].)
The company's O-V-B ("Our Very Best") No. 700 chopper is a rare find. It is cast from a single piece of iron and operates by a wooden-handled manual crank. This particular chopper is in excellent condition -- the crank turns easily, with no cracks in the wood handle, and the bolt used to hold and stabilize the piece rotates smoothly in both directions.
Shipped with USPS Priority Mail or USPS Parcel Select Ground.
