    Antique 1897 Cast Iron Universal Food Chopper/Grinder No. 0 L.F. & C. New Britain Conn.
    This is a Universal Food Chopper NO.0.
    At some point in its life
    its handle was shortened and a new wood handle was used. The wood handle that was used appears to be a period handle from that time. I think an ice pick handle was use. It is inscribed " Compliments Industrial    MFG. Co. Curtis Bay  ( in Baltimore MD.) Handle held on with a slotted screw and square nut. The remainder of the grinder is in very good condition. To be quite honest I have owned and displayed this grinder for over 40 years and didn't realize it didn't have the original handle.  Please check my other items and my Ebay rating and bid with confidence.
