Turn your machine from a 7" player to a 10.5" reel machine with this original adapter made by Akai for two of their very special reel to reels.
Unlike other units on eBay, this set has not been drilled into or modified in any way. This is the original set and has been fully tested for smooth reel rotation in all normal speeds of 3 3/4 and 7 1/2 Inches Per Second. (Including fast forward and rewind). This will provide trouble free performance.
*Beware other sellers selling this set* Behind the metal arms are pot metal pieces that are part of the mount system for these arms. The pot metal often cracks and expands which ends up making rotation of the reel spindle either difficult or impossible. Don’t take the risk of buying from someone else who hasn’t fully tested such an expensive and old item. We know our craft and will provide you a quality and functioning product. Plus, you will have us at your disposal to help guide you through the installation process if you aren't sure of something yourself.
The box has clear storage wear but properly closes. These pieces have been fully tested on an Akai 345 for use and it works wonderfully. Get the extension kit you deserve from someone who knows how to test and confirm its quality. The metal arms and other pieces have evidence of use but will provide you a great experience for a very long time.
